-What riding school is that? It’s Rosemount at the begining and a livery yard “midfulton” at the end, both are in Scotland. -you didnt ride a horse till you were 11???!!! This may seem weird to some off you, but the riding school i went to only had ponies so i never got the chance to ride a horse till i was 11.. and i still barely ride horses.. Oh well done:) i used to ride, but we got dogs, so didnt have time to go to te stables, i start about 6 months ago, and can already canter, i am trying to get my mum to get me a horse, so i can really bond with it, and have it for ages, just an overall..welldone! your really good x

@rideforlife95 I agree, the main thing when teaching children is to get their confidence up, once that has been achieved the basics of stopping and starting, not depending on the reins as a balancing aid. other than that children need to (not so good for the ponies used) be able to wobble about to find their balance, that is how we all learn. practice. although i do wish more places would allowed children to ride bareback on safe ponies armoured up in safe conditions obviously.

I agree about your pony not responding to your legs, I have to say that whips don’t hurt the ponies/horses because there skin is a lot tougher than ours. To be honest I suffer with the same problem with ponies not responding to your leg. Thumbs up if you agree
